This paper argues that future debates on the inability to secure needed energy in the home should focus on the structural challenges imposed by wider societal and political choices. The authors contend that changing the ways in which energy injustices in the home are framed in scientific and policy phraseologies is a key step towards bold and equitable global action, in the face of mounting socio-environmental crises.

This report explores home energy advice programs in the UK and finds there is an urgent need to re-imagine home energy advice. The authors recommend the provision of a nationally coordinated, locally delivered energy advice service which is integrated with comprehensive housing support hubs. A dedicated national public awareness campaign could also help households understand how to access such support.
