Knowing that lack of materials in both EU and migrant languages is a barrier to empowering women in energy poverty, the Women in Solidarity for Energy (WISE) project is launching a ‘Translate-a-Thon’.
Over 28 days (5 Feb to 5 March), we aim to get as many people as possible to bring their language skills to an EU-wide effort to translate the following types of content:
- Energy-saving tips, designed to help women optimise energy consumption and boost thermal comfort.
- Right to Energy Policy Brief, prepared earlier under the COST Engager action, to support advocacy and policy change.
- Right to Energy Flyer, a short document to help women understand their energy rights and prepare to engage in demanding they be upheld.
- Video subtitles to support film screenings and panel discussions to draw attention to why women are at greater risk of energy poverty.
